​Julian Cohen has over 35 years’ specialist and heavyweight experience of:

 

Commercial Disputes, Commercial Arbitrations, Construction & Engineering Disputes, Energy Disputes, International Arbitrations, and PRC Outbound Disputes.

 

Sums in dispute in his cases vary from small to in excess of USD 2 billion. He has a wealth of experience in disputes and arbitrations in Hong Kong and throughout Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.

 

As well as acting as counsel, Julian regularly sits as an arbitrator and mediator both in Hong Kong and internationally.

 

Julian Cohen was called to the Bar in England in 1990 and joined the London construction practice of Pinsent Masons in 1993. He moved to Hong Kong in 1998 with the firm, leaving as a Partner in 2009. He started practice at the Hong Kong Bar in 2010 and founded Resolution Chambers in 2021.

 

Julian Cohen is ranked as one of the leading construction juniors at the Hong Kong Bar by Doyle’s Guide, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal. He is also ranked as a top arbitration practitioner by Who’s Who Legal: China and Hong Kong. Who’s Who Legal: China and Hong Kong, also ranks him in their commercial disputes section. Julian Cohen teaches and lectures internationally.
