Resolution Chambers International's Julian Cohen has over 30 years’ specialist experience of heavyweight international construction and engineering disputes and arbitrations across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Julian Cohen is familiar with Civil Code, Common Law and Sharia Law based jurisdictions and arbitrations.
He is recognised as one of the world’s leading construction lawyers, and is ranked by legal directories as being one of Hong Kong’s leading construction barristers (Doyle’s Guide and The Legal 500) and a top arbitration practitioner (Who’s Who Legal: China and Hong Kong).
He has decades of experience of all types of disputes including, but not limited to, delay, disruption, loss and expense, variations, final accounts, defects, consultant's claims, professional negligence, environmental and regulatory issues, joint ventures. He acts for all stakeholders in projects including developers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants, and governments.
Julian was called to the Bar in England in 1990 and Hong Kong in 2010. He founded Resolution Chambers in 2021. From 1993 he was a member of the construction team at Pinsent Masons, leaving as a Partner in 2009.
As well as being an advocate, he is also regularly appointed as an Arbitrator and Mediator.
